"Mediocre people don’t like high achievers and high achievers don’t like mediocre people."

ALABAMA FOOTBALL 2021-2022 SEASON
I want to begin this page with my highlight reel from my junior year. My junior year at Alabama Football was the 2021-2022 season. Before this season began, I was promoted to Senior Student. This role allowed me to film games and travel with the team. This season began after the tumultuous and life changing COVID Pandemic. Coming off a historic 2020 Season, where the Crimson Tide won a National Championship after an All-SEC regular season schedule, the expectations were off the charts.

Two weeks before the season started, one of our full time members left the team. This put a lot of pressure and stress on me and Jonathan King, my Creative Director. As he worked two jobs, I had to pick up the slack. For six weeks straight while the team was undefeated, we were both exhausted. Thankfully, after six weeks we got a new hire.
I got to experience 3 of the greatest games in my career. We beat UGA in the SEC Championship, beat first time G5 playoff team Cincinnati, and had the privilege to go to the National Championship against UGA in Indianapolis.
Aside from filming games, I had the privilege to produce content and tell stories. In the summer, I created content such as the Saban House Lake days, SEC Media Days, and team bonding events. I had the opportunity to create Turnover Thursday highlights during the season. Turnover Thursday was a popular feature among our in-season game week content. The offseason began with Fourth Quarter and workout content. In the post-season, we had NFL pro days. NFL Pro days were one of my favorite things to shoot in my entire career at Alabama Football.
We had another shakeup on our team in the post season of my junior year. We added Ryan Ortegon as the Assistant Creative Video Director. With Jonathan as the Creative Director and Ryan at the helm of creative video, assisting them was one of the most rewarding experiences in my career. Ryan's use of the Gimbal inspired me to use the Gimbal wherever I went. To this day, I am still inspired by Jonathan and Ryan's work and leadership.
This season was the most challenging experience. And yet, after what we went through as a team, I was more committed than ever to what I love doing.
ALABAMA FOOTBALL 2022-2023 SEASON
This season was the start of my senior year. After a crazy junior year, this season was unlike any other.
Recruiting operations were into full swing. Photoshoots and video shoots every other week. I worked with the most talented creatives to film and create content for recruits who had a chance to play at Alabama Football. The greatest thing about these shoots were the players who came on visits, committed to Alabama, and see them grow into the culture. Having the opportunity to film so much and be a part of something bigger was a fantastic experience.

Just as the year before, I was the senior student and tasked with several projects that came up. That year I shot several charity events, particularly Nick's Kid's, Nick Saban's charity organization. I also shot players and Miss Terry reading to school children. Creating content for those events in a professional manner was of my favorite things I ever got to do at Alabama.

As I learned to shoot with more versatility, I grew my skills in editing, communication, and awareness. I put my job and creative team first. I was there when needed to be and not let distractions take ahold of my attention.
As the season rolled around, I had the task of shooting on the Gimbal for games. This was an awesome experience. I got some of the greatest shots in my career. This is part of my reel shown above. I had the privilege to shoot our bowl game against KSU down in New Orleans. As the post-season came through, I created several player season highlights that were well regarded. Two of my most notable accomplishments at the end of this year was that I was nominated for Student of the Year award and I was the first student under Jonathan King to finish all four years under him. It was a great way to end my undergraduate years of Alabama Football. This reel above showcases all of that.
THE NICK SABAN SHOW: GRADUATE YEAR
After four incredible years as an undergraduate student intern, I decided to stay at Alabama and pursue my Master's Degree in Advertising and PR. This was not an easy decision. However, I felt like I needed more experience and education to increase my knowledge and versatility.

The Nick Saban show editor role opened up and I decided to take it after it was offered to me. This role required me to stay in the Crimson Tide Productions office after games and edit the show after it was shot on the field. This included away games as well.

This role took me off the field but I still enjoyed it. It was a different way of telling a story that I wasn't used to. As for the creative team, I helped out when I could. I took a lighter role and assisted when needed. As I worked, I worked hard on my Master's and I have no regrets pursuing it.

After our Rose Bowl game against Michigan, Coach Nick Saban decided to retire. Not only did this event rock the college football world, it shattered mine. I came to the realization that my job security with the Nick Saban Show was gone.
Unfortunately, after Coach Deboer was hired as head coach, Jonathan was let go. That March, I decided to pursue the rest of my master's through online coursework and find a full time job.
